Outstanding Alumna - Class of 1992

Rebecca Roberts - Former Alto 2 and President, is an award-winning public radio reporter whose work has been heard on variety of public radio programs nationally, including "Morning Edition" and "All Things Considered" from National Public Radio (NPR), and "Weekend America" from American Public Media (APM). For four years, Roberts served as the technology correspondent for "The World," a co-production of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), PRI and WGBH Boston. She has hosted the Emmy-nominated public television program "Springboard" produced by KQED-TV and is the founding producer of "Beyond Computers," a weekly one-hour public radio program exploring the impact of technology on society. Roberts has also hosted two public affairs radio programs, "Your Call Radio,'' and most recently, "The Intersection," a daily local interactive public affairs radio program that airs on WETA 90.9 FM in the Washington, DC area. She lives outside Washington, DC, with her husband and three children.
